Jolicloud 1.1

Overall, all operations were very snappy on my Dell Inspiron 1525. It took exactly 33.2 seconds to boot completely during my unofficial tests. Once desktop was loaded, launching web apps took less than a second (for its part, all web apps are basically websites optimized for viewing with Google Chrome, much like the Chrome apps, available from the Chrome app store). Native Linux apps are also available to download and install, by clicking on the big green + button at the top left of the desktop. I installed Dropbox and Skype to test this function, and worked like a charm, with a single click of the mouse. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the internal microphone worked perfectly, something I had missed as no Windows 7 driver is available for it. Overall, Jolicloud is a user-friendly Linux operating system that is perfect when most of your computing needs are web-based, as the elite Windows, OS X, or other Linux distro users may find it a little underpowered for their taste.
